1. IP-match socks get identified as suspected socks and can only post in moron club. Posting malicious content (i.e., malware or link to pron) = IP ban.
2. We create a forum specifically for openly talking about people's annoyance with us for existing (code name: "Airing of Grievances.")
3. USMB trolls may be, on a case by case basis, relegated to only Impolite Conversation and/or Moron Club and/or Airing of Grievances, based upon their frequency of spam.
4. Other trolls will just be mocked hard.
5. Spammers will be killed.
I'm still a little iffy on #3. Is there a consensus? Should I do a poll?
I would suggest not making a forum specifically for "Airing of Grievances", of course that should happen there, but I also suggest that that forum be an open forum for reporting posts instead of using a behind the scenes "Report" function. If you suspect someone is a sock, post it and let the Mod's publicly confirm or clear the individual. If you think someone has made a threatening post, post it and let the Mod's publicly deal with it. In this way the community learns what the bounds are for the few declared rules that we have.
